JOSEPH BIO
Growing up in Phoenix, Arizona, Mr. Noble’s boyhood objective was to eventually become a businessman, like his father, but with the overall goal of becoming a “dry goods” merchant – selling and marketing non-perishable goods as well as needed services to a select clientele.
After declining to complete high school, he eventually moved to New York in the late 1970s, and shortly thereafter met Rudy Mayer of Innovations, who would eventually mentor the young creative as he started his own business. In 1980, with the launch of Allcotton, his all-natural fiber textile firm, Mr. Noble had begun to lay the foundation for his career in what would become the Joseph Noble hallmark of classically vetted products imbued with purpose, utility, and style.
The New York corporate offices would eventually move to Dallas in 1989 to combine the headquarters and warehouse operations in one location. From their Texas facilities, Mr. Noble and his studio team collaborate globally with highly specialized textile mills and preeminent manufacturing facilities.
Recognizing the need for good-looking, performance-based composite materials in the workplace, Mr. Noble became the driving force in creating Technology Leather™ and adding its nomenclature to the interiors industry. The Joseph Noble organization continually reestablishes its commitment, whenever and however possible, to ensure these products are quantifiably more earth-responsible and planet-friendly.
Understanding the direct and significant role that design has played in his life, Mr. Noble became the founder and Editor-In-Chief of GreatDesign.com in 2004. This website, which also functions as the editorial arm of Joseph Noble Incorporated, is equal parts blog, art gallery, and design magazine with the singularly searching goal of determining, “How does great design affect your life?”
Thriving on creativity and innovation, Mr. Noble works from strength and clarity of vision through his attractively executed products, clean clear designs, and honest contemporary colors. His primary mission is to create products for inspired architects and designers that support and facilitate their visions.
Mr. Noble sits on the boards of various charities. He has been the recipient of numerous industry awards. His products have graced important interiors around the world. He currently resides in Dallas and New York City.
