There is probably no other photographic artist that has inspired me more than Henri Cartier-Bresson.
Burdened with an artist’s eye, his images continue to tutor and inform me on light, depth perception and subject composition.
With a clear understanding of the “power of image”, he would take to the streets of 1940’s Paris to “observe” the world and capture it through his simple Leica camera.
Without fuss, without light meters, knowing the value of “the moment”, his work remains a masterpiece of modesty and insight.
